The Cowichan Valley Football Association is a non-profit, community based organization. Our association offers young people aged six to eighteen the opportunity to learn and play Canadian tackle football in a structured, challenging and competitive environment.
Our goals are to teach both young men and women the fundamentals of football while developing important characteristics and skills such as teamwork, self discipline, leadership, sportsmanship along with many others. We believe and hope these and other skills learned will become important values well after the players football days are done. It is our wish to allow those who participate in the sport to develop into young men and women that both their parents, team and community can be proud of. We hope to encourage and promote healthier lifestyles and scholastic standings and standards along with building self-esteem.
The coaching staff of the CVFA, will do their very best to ensure that each player is utilized to his or her utmost potential and their talents are used to the team's best advantage. Safety is our top concern. Many of the exercises, drills, and team rules are there to ensure your child is physically and mentally fit for football. Each child is unique and will develop at his own pace. They will exercise their bodies and minds in an effort to develop the skills needed to execute the game of football.
The Cowichan Valley Football Association participates and plays in two (2) different seasons, spring and fall, and in four (4) different leagues. Our spring season runs from mid February to mid June, and our fall season starts in August and goes through November.
